Updating inspiron 530 dell ram memory
Hi and please answer these questions I have a Dell Inspiron 530s (2009 Model) with specs of Intel 2 duo 2.53ghz, 500GB Hard Drive, 2GB of ram.
And I'm not sure how much ram it can hold and if it takes DDR, DRR2, DDR3, ram because i am looking at buying a 8GB of ram that is DDR3 and i want to make sure its the right kind before i buy it and the other thing is that if i can put a Intel core i7 with 3.40GHz and with a Intel HD Graphics 4000 go into the motherboard or do I need to upgrade the motherboard.
The Dell Inspiron 15 (1545) Laptop takes the PC2-6400 DDR2-800 200pin SDRAM SODIMM memory type, and comes installed with 1GB memory.
You can upgrade your Dell Inspiron 15 (1545) Laptop to up to a maximum memory capacity of 8GB Memory.
The Laptop has 2 (2 banks of 1) to install memory, already with 1GB standard memory installed.
I have dual boot on the hard drive-win7HPremium,and win 8.1. 100% i bought this laptop 2nd hand and it had the standard cpu, battery and ram, upgraded ram to 4gb (apparently the max but crucial says 8gb, i trust dell) i got the 8700 as the extra £6-£8 for the 8800 isn't worth it! starts up nice and fast runs smoothly and lasts for a good hour and a half on battery before i even start to think about putting it on charge. If this was my PC: Upgrading the RAM would be an OK idea, but your real issue is your HDD speed.
You can upgrade your Dell Inspiron 537 Computer to up to a maximum memory capacity of 4GB Memory.
